Police Sgt criticises CPS

A Police Sergeant with S.Yorkshire for 34 years said in February 2011 that the CPS should stand for "Couldn't Prosecure Satan". "Every officer I know could recite examples where criminals went free because the CPS refused to prosecute. The CPS is obsessed with conviction rates and no matter what evidence you put before them, they want more".

"They glibly dismiss evidence that a jury should see and hear". "There is not a bobby who does not have a horror story about cases which has been dropped" (by the CPS). "I can think of instances where bad men & women should have gone to jail and who in many cases never even went to court".
