The Daily telegraph on 6 January 2006 reported: "Dr Paul Knapman, the Westminster coroner, attacked the Crown Prosecution Service for trying to pass the blame over the murder of Clare Bernal, a beautician, shot dead by a stalker at Harvey Nichols. Dr Knapman said a "distasteful parcel of retribution" was being passed around by the officers and lawyers involved in the case.
Miss Bernal's mother, Tricia, has called for a public enquiry but as of posting this complaint, her request has not been granted.
Another example of the appalling state of our criminal justice system which the poorly led and demoralised CPS has brought us to. |
